At Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, we offer more than just education. We offer an inspiring and supportive environment to help you make the most of your student life. Here's what you can count on.

Welcome on board : introduction programmes

international introduction days

New to the Netherlands? Join our free 2-day introduction programme in August or February. It's the perfect way to meet other international students and staff, get to know Zuyd, explore Maastricht, and experience a first taste of Dutch culture, all while having fun! More about these introduction days

INKOM Student Week

Looking for an unforgettable start in Maastricht? Take part in INKOM, the official introduction week for all new students in the city. Head over to INKOM’s website for details.

International Office

Need help with your application, visa, or finding your way around Maastricht? Our International Office is here to support you every step of the way. They can also guide you in finding scholarship opportunities.

Libraries

6 of our locations have their own library. With your student card, you can borrow books and journals. Online, you'll have access to a wide range of academic databases, e-books, journals, and videos.

Study materials

Before your studies begin, you’ll receive an email from your programme with a list of books and materials you’ll need to buy.

IT and online learning

You’ll get your own email account, storage space, and print access. Every Zuyd building offers computer workstations, and our ICT helpdesk is there to assist you. In our digital learning environment, you’ll find course materials, hand in assignments, and collaborate with classmates.

Audiovisual equipment

Need to give presentations, record interviews, or create videos? You can borrow laptops, cameras, projectors and more from the Servicedesk (under certain conditions).

Bring your own laptop

Most programmes require you to bring a laptop. Make sure you check with your study programme what kind of specs you’ll need. Some software is provided free or at a discount for students.

Food & drinks

Every Zuyd location has a restaurant with fresh, tasty food options. In a hurry? Grab a snack or drink from one of the vending machines. And don’t miss the coffee corners, perfect for a chat over a cappuccino or chai latte!

Getting around

All our campuses are easy to reach by public transport. Prefer to bike, scoot or drive? We offer free bike and scooter parking. Coming by car? Just note that parking is limited and, at some locations, paid parking applies.

Need support? We're here for you

Studying can be tough sometimes and that’s okay. Personal guidance is a big deal at Zuyd. Whatever you’re going through, we’re ready to help.

Together, we’ll make your time at Zuyd a time to remember!
