What can you expect?

During Zuyd’s open days, you’ll get an in-depth look at your chosen study programme. Take part in interactive taster classes and workshops to experience what  studying at Zuyd is really like. It’s a great way to get a feel for the atmosphere, see whether a programme suits you, and have one-on-one conversations with lecturers and current students. They’ll give you honest insights into student life and what to expect from your studies – so you can move closer to making a confident decision. 

How to prepare for the Open Day?

To make the most of your visit, it's a good idea to prepare in advance. Browse our website to explore the available programmes and request a brochure to learn more. Not sure which programme is the right fit? Join a trial study day or take part in a shadowing session at Zuyd! This is a fun and good way to get an even better idea of what an education entails. During a trial study day, you’ll take part in real classes and assignments, just like our students do. A shadowing session lets you follow a student for a day, giving you an up-close look at a typical day at Zuyd. These experiences help you choose a study path that truly suits you.

Our campuses in Heerlen, Sittard, and Maastricht are easy to reach by public transport, bike or car. When is the next Open Day?

The next open day is on Saturday 22 November 2025, from 10:00 to 15:00. 

Who can attend the Open Day?

The open day is for prospective students. Parents and carers are also very welcome to join. 

Where does the Open Day take place?

Our programmes are offered in Heerlen, Sittard, and Maastricht. The application page shows which location your chosen programme is based at. 

What activities are there on the day?
  • We'll tell you all the ins and outs in our course presentations. 
  • Join us for a trial class; we have fun assignments waiting for you! 
  • Check out our classrooms and meet our students and lecturers. 
Can I visit more than one location or programme on the same day?

Absolutely! We encourage you to explore multiple options, so you can find the programme that suits you best if you’re still undecided. 

Is registration required?

We kindly ask you to register in advance, but parents/carers do not need to. 

Should my parents/carers register separately?

No need. They can simply come along with you. You don’t need to indicate how many people are coming. 

Are there any other Open Days this academic year?

Yes, we’re also hosting an Open Evening on Wednesday 26 March 2025. 

What’s the easiest way to get to Zuyd?

Our programmes are offered in Heerlen, Sittard, and Maastricht. Directions are available on our website for each location. 

How do I cancel if I can no longer attend the Open Day?

If you’ve registered but can’t come, we’d appreciate it if you let us know. Simply use the cancellation link in the confirmation email you received when you signed up. Takes only a second!
